Contacting Your Legislators

The State of New Hampshire has one of the largest legislative bodies in the country. We have 400 State Representatives and 24 Senators that are elected every two years. It is important that you know and build relationships with  your elected officials. They want to hear from you to understand important information that will impact their votes on policy changes.

Below are instructions on how to contact State Senators and Representatives so that your voice can be heard.

Contacting Your State Senator

There are 24 Senate districts in the State of New Hampshire.  Each State Senator represents more than 50,000 residents.

 

You can learn more information about the Senate by exploring their website at http://gencourt.state.nh.us/senate/. Click on "Contact a Senator" to select your town to locate the contact information of a Senator near you.

Contacting Your State Representative

There are 400 State Representatives that serve more than 200 districts in the State of New Hampshire. Each State Representative represents about 3,300 residents. 

 

You can learn more information about the House of Representatives by exploring their website at http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/house/. Click on "Who's My Legislator?" to select your town to locate the contact information of your local legislator.
